Recently, Move Through Life was contacted by Connect Hearing to invite us to contribute to an article they were prepared about non-verbal communication for couples. The focus of the article was to give suggestions for how couples where one or both of are hard of hearing to communicate that don’t involve words.
Connect Hearing is a national network of healthcare hearing clinics across Australia that work together to ensure the very best treatment and care for people dealing with hearing problems. The network includes the very best audiologists, hearing specialists, and hearing clinicsin all of Australia.
The question they asked was ‘How can dance help you be more connected to your loved ones?’
Their article outlines a number of different non verbal ways that couples can communicate. In addition to dance, the article describes how activities like massage, art and art therapy, and cooking and eating can help bring couples closer together.
